The Cutest Spy-Hop – 1/24
I witnessed this tiny teeny Southern long-finned pilot whale calf spy-hop while on the water in Kaikoura, New Zealand. Its pod was about 100 individuals. It was so small, it still had the foetal folds. This encounter took place in mid-January 2024. -Julie
