Synchronized Sleeping Killer Whales – 30/8/17

These beauties are a family of four Bigg’s (Transient) Orcas in the waters surrounding the San Juan Islands. Here, they can be seen huddled together in a synchronized sleeping pattern. The family would surface to breathe together and would take shallow dives together as they rested. It was really a treat to witness this first-hand!
