The orcas are still a little bit on the farther edge of the fjord system. Based on the locals, there is already herring inside the fjord system. However, the herring fishing vessels still not be allowed to fish inside the fjord. They will be allowed to enter the fjord as we advance into November.
Looks like the orcas stick to the place where the fishing fleet is for the moment…
We found several groups of orcas in the morning. The weather was a bit windy, and usually, on days like that, you can see more of the orcas as they lift their head above the surface to breathe. They do that to avoid water from the higher waves into their blowhole.
On the way home, our guests were treated with another type of “marine mammal”…
Looks like we have found Santa’s lost reindeer herd…
There were many Rudolf(s) crossing between Arnøya and Kågen…
