Today I had this incredible encounter with a massive pod of Pacific White Sided Dolphins 10 miles offshore! It was absolute magic to have them playing and surfing all around us for what felt like hours, but it was really only 40 minutes!

I haven’t gone through all my photos yet but I know there are some of a young calf as well as what appears to be a rare Brownells morph of colouration!

Diving into the sea, living in a dream. This encounter with a pod of 200 pacific white sided dolphins will forever be my top trip of this season.

This is also one of my favourite photos I have ever taken!

I’m asked regularly if we ever see dolphins on tours. Orcas are the most commonly seen dolphins species here but we do have the Pacific white sides as well as Rissos and Northern Right Whale Dolphins further offshore! I haven’t seen either species and they are high on my lifer list!
