A few weeks ago I was dreaming out loud about how amazing it would be to see orcas pass by our cabin… Today it happened while we were in town!
I hustled back so we could run home to grab my camera and track them based on the last sighting. Luckily we found them an hour and a half after they were last seen.
So far we’re not sure which pod this is, but I have sent in my photos to researchers and organizations who track the movements of orcas in BC. It’s always great to hear back from them with identifications of the individuals we have seen.
Update: It looks like these whales were the T068Bs !
