Not the best day to be a turtle 🥲
Today, we watched an orca family as they snacked on turtle after turtle. Needless to say, the little guys stood NO chance.
You know how your mom always told you not to play with your food? I think orca moms tell their kids the complete opposite. 🤣
We watched as each orca would snag a turtle, drag it below the surface for a little, and then let it go. 🐢
After feebly trying to escape for a few seconds, the turtle would be snatched up again and the cruel cycle would repeat itself.
Watching orcas hunt is one of my favorite experiences on the water. You can tell just how incredibly intelligent they are, planning and flawlessly executing an attack.
