Exactly one year, to the day from my first encounter with Northern Resident Killer Whales, I was blessed to meet up with them again today.
The first time was in Telegraph Cove; today was up in beautiful Howe Sound.
After a two hour ride up, we encountered A61, Surge!
He and the rest of the A25s, the A42s and A94 Mystery gave us a stunning encounter under sunny skies.
What made this trip so incredible was the people I shared it with, my fellow Orca Behavior Institute classmates.
