Yesterday we had the privilege to encounter a large group of socializing pilot whales on our evening tour.
Based on reports, the whales have been in the area all day, so we hoped to find them.
The big group was separated into two smaller groups when we found them.
I assumed one group was with females and calves, and the one we followed for a while was most likely a group of males.
Seeing these animals swimming in a flat, calm sea and the Midnight Sun was mesmerizing.
