I had the possibility to join the students of the university of La Laguna on a scientific research boat for research work on Blainville’s and Cuvier Beaked Whales near the island of El Hierro.
Beaked whales are like zen masters, no unnecessary movement to save oxygen for their deep dives up to 2000m and one hour!
We were lucky to watch them breach, what they normally avoid to do.
