Incredible Day with the T124A’s – 23/6/18

Some days you get to see the most incredible things…

This was one of those days for me.

The T124A family were hunting and playing, breaching and tail slapping but this was my favourite moment. Seeing this Orca come up to the surface with a piece of it’s prey (a strip of skin, I believe) draped over it’s rostrum, then opening it’s mouth wide, allowing us to see it’s teeth and the pink and black colouration of it’s upper palette was just incredible to see.

There is always something new to see.

A fair while later one back breached with (what looked to be) the same piece of skin in it’s mouth.

Seeing an Orca open their mouths above the surface is such an amazing thing to see.
