Starting off the new year with my first cetacean encounter only 5 days in! The T068Cs made a visit to Clayoquot Sound, passing through the harbour before heading South, down the coast. Last reported in November in Ketchikan, Alaska and before that, back in Tofino in September!
Bigg’s Orcas are constantly on the move, travelling well over 1000km in just a matter of months – if they were swimming in a straight line!
