Sunset Whales – 30/8/24
Two humpbacks were playing with sealions off of Otter Point. The fiery sunset lit the water a bright orange as these 2 were spy hopping and rolling around. Once they left, their flukes shined through the sunset to finish off the night. -Tom @PhotosWithFlip on Instagram

Humpback Calf Playing with Kelp – 11/7/24
Zephyrs calf decided it no longer wanted to feed and wanted to play in some kelp! It rolled around and threw itself around while mom was off finding food for herself. Once mom let the calf play for around 15 minutes she came back to wrangle her in and get her back on track. -Tom

Celebratory Breaches – 26/3/24
The T018s and T049As were hanging around in Spieden channel and as we were getting on scene a sealion hunt initiated. While these hunts normally took hours, this hunt took 2 minutes! This was the fastest sealion hunt I have ever witnessed. T019B breached multiple times in celebration of a successful takedown! -Tom

Crinkle and a Murre – 22/9/23
T037A3 and T037A4 along with T137A and T137D spent about a month together traversing the Salish Sea together. During this encounter, the young whales were playing with common murres while the eldest whales kept on swimming east. On this occasion, T037A4 Crinkle managed to grab a murre! -Tom
