Birthday Whale Swim – 9/24

2024 marked the second year I went to Tonga to swim with humpback whales.

Tonga is world renowned for being one of the magical places to swim with whales. This also marked my first time co leading a whale swim trip. My birthday fell on the second day of week two of whale swims.

This morning we were treated to calm seas, sunny skies, and we found a mother humpback and her baby chilling and enjoying the beautiful weather.

We spent the next ninety mins enjoying the company of this amazing humpback mother and baby.

I’ve been blessed to spend 5 weeks swimming with and photographing the humpback whales of the South Pacific, but this day will be a day I’ll never forget.
