The past 2 days have been stormy again (January weather ), but today finally we got to go out.
We did not have big expectations, though we knew there are still orcas in the area, thanks to a set-up permanent hydrophone (thank you Brigitte and Adrian ) we heard some distant calls.
In the morning we have found quite a few individual orcas mingling around the area. Some were resting and others were socializing with each other.
Towards the end of the day and humpback whale appeared on the scene and all of a sudden we found ourselves in the middle of a feeding AGAIN
Words cannot describe how amazing it is to watch all these orcas naturally feed inside the fjords at the end of January.
We made sure we recorded the whole event; I am so excited to work on these Orca Channel episodes.
Enjoy!
