We had pretty awesome trips with 7 Seas Whale Watch today. It was a different kind of excitement though. Normally it’s the surface activity and feeding that ends up being the highlight, but today it was simply all of the close approaches that the whales chose to make. This is a whale named Cajun. This afternoon she was traveling with three other whales Pele and Perseid (who have been together for the past week or so) along with a newcomer to the group, Crisscross. During this sequence all four whales swam right in towards the boat and waited until they were practically touching the boat before diving beneath us. It’s truly an amazing experience being able to see these animals so up close and personal!
