Yesterday I was fortunate enough to be able to join Capt Bill’s Whale Watch on a research trip out to Stellwagen Bank. It was an incredible trip especially after being without the whales for so long. In total, there were well over 50 whales, estimated to be closer to 100. All of them were actively feeding at the surface and included several large groups. Our last group of the day consisted of at least 10-15 whales and among them was Salt herself. It was such an amazing welcome back to the sea.
