No problem at all, Sunday 21st July. I work for Staffa tours, my friend Jimmy works with Sealife Mull. Heard John Coe and Aquarius were heading up the sound of Mull. Together with Jimmy’s girlfriend Hannah we headed out of Tobermory.
Saw another few boats following the killer whales.
We cut the engine, watched and waited. They passed us about 15M away – an incredible experience. We waited for them to pass at a good distance and considered following them but there was a quite a few boats about so we headed back. This was just outside Tobermory bay, images are looking on to the Ardnamurchan peninsula.
I’m a mull native and been a guide on the boat for 11 years and thy was the first time seeing killer whales, have always missed them!!A truly amazing experience!
