Today was absolutely amazing! On our way back to the harbor in the afternoon we came across NA-8506 “Cajun” and calf. For those who don’t know, Cajun is a very popular and loved whale so it’s always great to see her to begin with, but yesterday she took it to a whole new level!
It was absolutely breathtaking watching her launch herself from the water repeatedly.
Her calf joined in on the action as well, but for the most part it was Cajun who demanded the spotlight.

It’s hard to believe that this young whale will soon be leaving mom’s side to live a life on her own. Hopefully she’s gotten all the knowledge she needs and will be seen for years to come.
