From one of my favorite trips… if not THE favorite trip of 2016. This is an adult male named Tear and he was in a very curious mood on this afternoon. He circled the boat, swam under it, and even spyhopped a few times very close to us. This is known as “close to boat” behavior and it’s my favorite behavior that we’re lucky enough to see. It doesn’t happen very often and when it does it’s normally with a calf or a juvenile not an adult like Tear. It was a very, very special day that’s for sure.
