I saw the story about the whale in Burrard Inlet so I checked the tides from the night of the 13th and made an educated guess where it would be. I went up CapitaHill in Burnaby to sit have a coffee and watch the inlet but before I even got out of my car I saw it surface! Then on the next surface I snapped a pic.

I followed it out to Cates Park then lost track of it. I’ve never heard of a Humpback going that far up the Inlet before.
