We’ve had our work cut out for us lately with the thick fog that just doesn’t want to go away! It makes finding whales more of a challenge, but sometimes you get lucky and the whales come to you. On this particular trip, our naturalist heard a whale exhale in the distance so we slowly crept over in that direction.
We found the fluke print which showed us that whoever was there had just gone down on a dive.
We sat patiently listening for the next exhale when all of a sudden it popped up right next to us!
We were able to ID this individual as Diablo and got several really nice looks at her despite the fog.
Photographed aboard the Hurricane II with Cape Ann Whale Watch out of Gloucester, MA.
