Today we have encountered a big group of Orcas a few hours after we have left the harbour early in the morning.
For the rest of the afternoon we have remained together with them. I am not 100% sure if the Orcas what we have witnessed today were residents or transients. There is known to be a small transient population that visit Rausu area each year.
This group of Orcas though followed a single Minke Whale with a steady course for quite some time….
We have not witnessed any feeding behaviour and they were not rushing after it, but following it for more than 1, 5 hours that we saw…
The light was beautiful as we followed the pod, so I took some nice group shots.
