Nature is both cruel and beautiful. It is a dichotomy that we saw in action today aboard @islandadventurewhales . Our trip took us down Admiralty Inlet towards Puget Sound. A T-party of 38 individual orcas was on the move, and we were so fortunate to see about 20 of them.
The T046Bs, T049As, T075 and her son T075A along with the T075Cs made up the menagerie that we spent time with. On our way back to port, the eagle eyes of Capt. Carl caught distant blows up by Seal Rocks.

We had to investigate! It was the T065Bs led by matriarch T065B, Chunk! But wait! Who is that leading the hunt?

Is that T065B3, the one year old baby of the family? Indeed it was! It was the tot that fed the family this evening! What a way to end the day!

Thank you to all my friends aboard IE5 for a day on the water I’ll never forget!
