A Close Encounter with Hunting Killer Whales – 21/4/18

I went whale watching in Monterey Bay, California. We got there after the Killer Whales had killed a baby Grey Whale.

While the Killer Whales were eating the carcass, some humpback whales came and tried to run the Killer Whales away.

At one point there was a piece of blubber right next to the boat.

As I’m reaching to get my phone out of my pocket to take a picture, a killer whale comes up and eats the blubber. It was so close I got sprayed with the killer whale breath.
