A Bigg’s Sealion Hunt – 6/10/25

T011A “Rainy” and T030Bs were in bound in the morning and by the afternoon they made their way north.

As we were viewing, there was a sealion ahead thrashing a fish around and the orcas took notice. Within a few minutes, the orcas planned their attack and were able to isolate the sealion!

However, T011A did not join in on the hunt. Instead, he joined us whale watchers in watching the hunt happen!

The hunt lasted a total of 24 minutes for the 4 females to take the sea lion down.

It isn’t known if T011A shared any of the food with them.
