Pretty Special Day with 26 Bigg’s (Transient) Killer Whales – 29/6/16

MORE KILLER WHALES!! Pretty insane season with Biggs. Today was pretty special.

You can’t help but be concerned about the lack of resident sightings but from what I’ve heard, they are having a huge year for spring salmon on the west coast of the island so hopefully the residents are finding lots of food out there. In the meantime, I’ll keep enjoying these incredible days with the seal slayers .

This is one of my favourite whales, T124A1.  Check out her eyeball!  I spend a lot of time staring at them but it’s a rare occurrence to see the eye staring right back!

It’s been an incredible season with Bigg’s Killer Whales so far and today was pretty special getting to spend a lot of intimate time with 26 of them.
