We were watching this duo who were quite placid and quiet until a ferry went by. Than bang. The little one began breaching. Mom joined in a few too. Loved how the synched up the pec waves. A very active duo with multiple breaches, spyhops, and lots of long lovely pec slaps. These ‘Winged whales of New England’ certainly showed off today and the little calf really seemed to be trying to take off. Fall is an amazing time for whale watching in Vancouver! This video begins with a near 360 degree breach spin from the calf showing off their incredible flexibility! You can hear everyone on the boat including myself and the Captain completely lose it! It has taken me 7 years to get a video of that full body spin!
