Another Epic Humpback Encounter in the Salish Sea – 25/11/18

A humpback whale known as MMX0128 “Vivaldi” beginning a dive. Vivaldi was in a social group consisting of MMZ0013″Two Spot”, MMZ0006 “Slalom”, MMX0023 “Tenor”, MMY0106 “Aerie” and another unidentified whale. With all the media surrounding the killer whales in this area, these incredible and curious giants often go unnoticed. With the dramatic humpback comeback in full-swing, it’s not entirely unusual for us to encounter 100+ humpback whales in just a single tour (so epic!!). I’m going to miss these guys as they head down to the tropics, so hopefully a few stick around and the others return early! 🐋
